Receiving his B.S. in Animal Husbandry from OSU in 1939, Minnick began to work as a Benton County Extension Agent in 1944. In addition to his active participation in 4-H, Minnick also started the County Roadside Litter Cleanup program. Retiring in 1974 from the Extension Service at the level of Associate Professor, Minnick died in July 2002.
