Roy A. Young (left) became assistant professor of Plant Pathology in 1948. Young was head of the Botany and Plant Pathology department from 1958-1966. Young served for a short term as acting president from 1969-1970. He also served as Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies through 1977.

Chris Jensen (left). James H. Jensen (right) was president of Oregon State University from 1961-1969. Within these eight years, Jensen expanded OSU faculty and facilities significantly and founded the 25 Year Club, which recognized employees who have worked at OSU for 25 years.

Paul Valenti (left) played basketball as a student at Oregon State then later served as freshman baseball coach, freshman basketball coach, head basketball coach and head tennis coach from 1946-1970. He continued on as Assistant Athletic Director until retiring in 1982. Alden Toevs (center) was a banker in Corvallis and served on various bodies at OSU including the Sea Grant Advisory Council.Robert W.
