Ten students and a female teacher stand in a row against the back wall of the room. Mounted to the back wall are rows of papers, above which are three large windows framed in wood. The floor of the interior is composed of long planks of wood. The females are dressed in dresses and their hair is contained in braids or buns. The males are dressed in jackets with wide lapels and they wear button-up shirts.
