J.D. ""Don"" Miller (1912-1996) on ""Scarface Charley"" at Sorosis Park Rodeo in 1934. Career took him to Pendleton Roundup, Hood River County Fair, Wasco County Fair to name a few. Rodeo injury at Seaside in 1949 ended Career. A stock-raiser in both Oregon & Washington he continued to ride for that trade, but not for pleasure. Made his home at the mouth of the Deschutes River and later in The Dalles.

This train is on the reversed schedule having left The Dalles in the a.m. These two pictures (WCPA 243-2) were perhaps taken several years apart. Sunday service was discontinued by 1920. Great Southern Railroad provided service for over three decades.
