A collection of items identified as "Lee Moorhouse collection of Indian costumes and artifacts" is grouped on the board-and-batten porch of a house. Flanked by two lattice-work columns, most of the items are baskets with geometric designs, along with a few pieces of pottery, also with geometric designs. Baskets are piled up to half-hide the window, with its four narrow lead-lights, and spill out past the low porch to the ground. In the center back hang two beaded dresses and what looks like part of a cradleboard. A beaded bag hangs on the left column, and baskets hang on the other. In the right back corner of the porch is a strikingly bold geometrically patterned textile, with some tall sticks propped up behind it. Two women stand on the porch wearing dresses with capes or blanket strips over their shoulders. They each hold a geometrically-decorated bag, and wear conical hats. Other woven hats can be seen among the baskets and pottery piled in front of them. Their hair seems to be either pulled back or cut short.

A view of a Native American encampment, identified as being at Cayuse Station on the Umatilla Indian Reservation on July 4, 1909. The foreground of the photo shows grass with some branches lying on it. To the right is a long trench, behind which can be seen eight tipis. In the middle ground a trail bisects the encampment. Beyond it are a tent, and at least four more canvas tipis and the skeleton of another. On the trail at the far right is a buggy. A number of horses, some with saddlebags, are at the side of the trail. Beyond the skeleton tipi is another group of horses, and a person with his back to the camera, who may be wearing a pack or may be a woman with an infant in a cradleboard. Farther in the background another figure stands in front of more horses. Standing on the trail to the left, in front of a tipi, is a man wearing a broad-brimmed hat and a blanket and trousers. He also has his back to the camera. Behind the encampment runs a row of deciduous trees. It looks as though there may be a wooden structure behind the trees. A low mountain range is in the background.
A Native American woman stands in front of a canvas tipi. The woman is wearing a cloth dress, with a woven blanket draped around her. One foot is visible and it can be seen she is wearing a plain moccasin. The dress cloth is a floral pattern; the blanket is striped with wavy lines, and has fringe on all four sides. The woman is wearing a beaded necklace and shell earrings, and has two long braids. A young girl wearing a long dress stands in the doorway of the tipi, but her image is blurry as she must have turned just as the photo was shot. A second tipi is partially visible to the right side, behind the front tipi. Both tipis are shaded by the tall deciduous trees behind them.
A Native American woman is seated inside on the floor. She is holding a pipe in each hand, wearing a feathered headdress, and has a blanket with geometric designs draped over her lap. Her hair is tied in two long braids. Various items, including swords, knives, cradleboards, moccassins, bags, hair ties, and a rifle, are hung on the wall behind the woman.
Eight Native-American men and women on horses are posing in front of trees and tipis. All but two have some sort of headdress, three men carry feather staffs. All the people have blankets wrapped around them. Each horse is wearing a beaded chest plate.
A Native American man, identified as Parson Motanic of the Cayuse Tribe, stands in an outdoor setting holding a bustle in his right hand. The headdress is ornamented with feathers and fur. The man is dressed slick style (bare chested) and wears a choker, necklace, bandoleer, belt, and leggings.
A Native American woman and a Native American man stand at two industrial looms in the Pendleton Woolen Mills in Pendleton, Oregon. The man wears a blanket around his waist and the woman wears a blanket over her shoulders. The man wears his hair in braids and holds a tool, possibly a shuttle, in his right hand.
A Native American woman, identified as Mrs. WheetSoot of the Cayuse tribe, sits before a backdrop. The image includes only the upper half of her body. She wears a scarf over her head and a shawl over her wing dress. She wears a wide leather belt with brass tack decoration.
