- The Fanno Farmhouse was home to Augustus Fanno, who moved to Oregon in 1846 and was the first European American settler in what became Washington County, Oregon. In 1982, descendants of the Fanno family donated the property to Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District which managed its restoration. This image was included in the documentation to support a nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, a program of the National Park Service. The image is provided here by the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office and the University of Oregon Libraries to facilitate scholarship, research, and teaching.
