a) Dress of navy blue print silk with repeat pattern of abstract soldiers, British flags, and politically charged symbols in pinks, chartreuse, blue, and light grey; bateau neckline; short, puffy sleeves are cut in one with yoke; stitched, horizontal tucks of yoke release fullness at the top of the sleeves; sleeves have two reverse pleats at the sleeve hem, one at front and one at back; mid-length skirt has four sunburst pleated godets, two at front and two at back, at knee level; unlined b) Belt of self-fabric is double-faced and stitched in horizontal stripes; self-silk covered buckle.
Dress of brown wool with wide moat neckline and empire waist seam; sleeveless; sheath-style; lined in reddish-brown acetate; center-back zip closure; below-knee length.
Gown of pink silk satin with lace trim casing a thin black ribbon on bodice; square neckline; short puffy sleeves; empire waistline with darts from waist; triangular panel at center-front bodice trimmed in lace cased with black ribbon; long, slight A-line skirt has padded hem and is padded 8" above the hem at tuck; drawstring at center-back empire waistline; bodice is backed in cotton/linen; hook and eye at back neckline.
Dress of ecru silk taffeta wide neckline and short bouffant sleeves; neckline is trimmed in pointed scallops of self-taffeta that fall over the shoulders; back closing of button covered hooks and eyes; band at waist; skirt is pleated at front and cartridge pleated at center-back; 2 padded bands at lower skirt trimmed with applied pointed scallops about 16" above hem of full-length skirt; all hand-made.
